Do you use the cry it out (CIO) method? No we don't use methods such as cry it out or leaving baby alone to self settle without you being able to intervene when we create your comprehensive and holistic sleep plan. However, if you approach us and would like to try a cry it out method we can definitely support you and if at any point you change you mind we will swap techniques to one that better suits you and your family's needs. We want you to be consistent as possible to help implement long lasting changes!
-
What techniques you recommend? We focus on using a holistic aspect when making recommendations about what techniques to use. The techniques are responsive and in room with specific alterations made to make them suit your family, needs and help reach your sleep goals!
-
Will by baby cry?It is likely that your little one will cry but not because they are being left alone to cry it out till they fall asleep. Rather it's their way of communication especially for little ones who haven't yet learnt to talk. Crying is them saying "what are you doing? this is different from yesterday!". You will be able to intervene and give them emotional and physical support that they need or want.
-
What if my baby gets sick or is teething whilst we work together? If your baby or child gets sick we pause sleep training until they are better and keep in place some of the holistic changes. As your child's response to sleep training when sick is unlikely to be the same as when they are well. So we pause and when they are well we resume from where we left off. When bub is teething we do still sleep train as they are likely to be teething for a period of 2 years or until all their teeth have come through. Meaning that we could be stopping and starting lots with very little progress. We give suggestions around what you can do to help during a active teething period.
-
Can I work with you if I am Interstate or overseas?Absolutely! Our online/virtual packages have been designed to be accessed no matter where you are based in the world. Our response time may be varied depending on where you are in the world.
